One-Stop Career Center to host open house

Valuable resource for local job-seekers

The center is located at 200 N. Second St., Fulton.

The open house will be the first since the New York State Department of Employment Services relocated from its Oswego office to the Fulton One-Stop Career Center in November 2005.

Experience Works also moved into the center in November. Experience Works is a national, nonprofit, community-based organization whose mission is to put the experience of older individuals to work.

"The Workforce Board is also pleased to have more comprehensive service delivery available to businesses and job seekers. This move truly creates a One-Stop Career Center for Oswego County," said Nancy Bellow, director of the WDB.

"The purpose of the move is to streamline services by consolidating into one location,? Bellow added. ?This will enable staff to better serve the public by offering a wider variety of services in a One-Stop Career Center. Job seekers will have access to a state-of-the-art resource room, and can receive assistance with resume writing, career counseling and job searches."

For more information regarding the open house, call the One-Stop Center at (315)-591-9000.
