On July 28, one of the largest free-admission music festivals in the nation will feature a special visitor.

Rock legends Blues Traveler will appear on the NRG Lakeview Stage at 9:15 p.m. on Harborfest’s opening night, courtesy of C&S Companies and Cayuga Community College.

"Blues Traveler was formed in 1987, and since then has tirelessly changed the face of music. Their ever-evolving sound has enchanted listeners for nearly 30 years, and provided the musical soundtrack to multiple generations," according to a press release issued by Harborfest officials.

Their most recent studio album, “Blow Up the Moon,” was released last year to critical acclaim and showed a unique collaborative approach to music that proves the band’s credentials as rock innovators.

Harborfest Executive Director Peter Myles said, “Blues Traveler is an incredible band to have launch this year’s festivities.”

For more information, contact the Harborfest offices at 41 Lake St., Oswego, NY 13126 or by phone at 315-342-7120.
