Are you interested in expanding your business or improving your community? Join us to learn about state funding opportunities available through this year’s Regional Economic Development Council’s Consolidated Funding Application competition.
An informational workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 5, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the CNY Community Arts Center, 121 Cayuga St., Fulton. Empire State Development’s deputy director Melissa Davis, will provide an overview of the almost $450 million in economic and community development funding available in this year’s CFA competition from seven different state agencies. The deadline for CFA applications is Wednesday July 31.
In addition to reviewing the ESD grant and tax credit programs for new and expanding businesses, Davis will provide information on additional grant funding initiatives for nonprofit organizations and municipalities to support new housing development, public parks and historic preservation, local waterfront revitalization, public water and sewer infrastructure and energy efficiency improvements.
Following the presentation there will be time to answer questions from attendees. The workshop is free and parking is available in the lot behind Community Bank.
“This workshop presents a unique opportunity for local businesses and municipalities to gain insights into the funding opportunities available this year,” said Austin Wheelock, executive director of Operation Oswego County. “Every year the state’s priorities and programs evolve so this is the best way to find out if your project would be a good fit. Operation Oswego County is a valuable resource for businesses, not for profits and municipalities to discuss potential proposals. Additionally, we offer technical assistance and referrals to assist our local partners in submitting the most competitive applications possible.”
Attendees must RSVP to attend, as seating is limited. Please RSVP at the following website bit.ly/3Wjre8M.
