Aimee Glerum has spent her entire professional career with the Oswego Federal Credit Union, starting as a part-timer 21 years ago. Today she is vice president of lending.
Throughout her career at Oswego FCU, Glerum has made sure to learn a little bit about every department of the operation.
“I quickly found my passion in helping other people,” she said, adding that her role in the lending division is a perfect fit for that passion.
To “be able to help people every single day has been a blessing,” she said. “The credit union industry as a whole is just a different feeling. We really are here for the community and our members. It has touched my heart in so many ways that I don’t want to leave. I love what we do every day.”
She credits Chief Executive Officer Bill Carhart, who has headed the organization since 2004, with providing opportunities for advancement within the organization, explaining that he sees talent and cultivates it, regardless of the individual’s gender.
